About
us: The Chorus was established twenty-four years ago and draws women from across the metropolitan area of Adelaide, South Australia, with a current membership of around 35 women. We meet for rehearsal every Wednesday evening. There's plenty of fun and laughter, but we take our singing seriously and strive for continual improvement in vocal and performance skills - in a supportive and encouraging environment. We are fortunate to have two amazing women co-Directors - Debbie and Engelina. We sing 'a cappella' in close four-part harmony, made up of Tenor, Lead, Baritone and Bass voice parts. Each new singer is placed in one of the sections by assessing their vocal range. The Chorus also fosters the development of quartets from among its members. Quartets work on their own repertoire and are available to sing at functions either with the main Chorus or independently. We rehearse each Wednesday evening at a community hall in Mitcham, from 7pm to 9.30pm. For more information, please call one of our contacts. Our Mission: A dynamic
women’s chorus dedicated to developing in barbershop harmony through education,
fun and performance. |
