We welcome new members, so even if you've never sung in a choir before - if you love to sing and would enjoy being part of a lively and enthusiastic group of like-minded women, please come along to one of our rehearsal evenings and see what we do.

Why would I want to join?

Fun, friendship and sharing the pleasure of singing together are reasons our members join and stay with the Chorus. Being part of the chorus is lively and uplifting.

Sweet Adelines sing a broad variety of upbeat songs and ballads. It's not essential to have a trained voice or be able to read music. We use practice CDs as well as printed music, and there's plenty of support from the Directors and section leaders. Most members find their self-confidence grows as they learn singing and presentation skills they may never have known before - and have fun in the process!

We rehearse each Wednesday evening at a community hall in Mitcham, from 7pm to 9.30pm. If you'd like to come to one of our performances, check the Bookings page.

So what has changed in my life? - I’ve been reassured I can sing; I’ve met a group of fantastic women of all ages who are warm and welcoming; I’ve experienced the pleasures of being part of a group that brings enjoyment to others through their art; I’ve learnt about diphthongs and ‘P’ notes and slides!
